Blackboard instructions for password and userids

UserID's

   User ID's are set up by Weatherford and are your last name and first intial or 2 initials.  For example jamesj for Jim James.  Your instructor can find out what your userid is by checking the class roll on any classes they have setup.  You may lookup your user by using the Directory link on the Weatherford or Sayre Web pages and searching for part of your name.  Your user will be the part before the @ sign.  This user name is userd for Blackboard, Compus Connect and your student e-mail.

Passwords

   Passwords are designed to be the last 4 digits of your SS#.

Forwarding e-mail

   You can forward your e-mail from the Weatherford e-mail address setup in blackboard to any any e-mail addrees that you want like hotmail etc.  

To do this, log into your account via http://webmail.student.swosu.edu. Mail forwarding is configured by going to the Options tab and then selecting the Settings link.

This process will allow any mail I send to the blackboard group to reach you with out having to learn how to use the weatherford mail system, however I think you should learn to use this system since the college will use it for contacting you with any college business.  You can now use hotmail or others and get any messages from the blackboard group.
