Pharm 3615 Pathophysiology I: Topics in general pathology are discussed, including cancer, infectious diseases, and rheumatic, joint, and connective tissue disorders, followed by the functional anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology of the nervous system with emphasis on neurophysiology, the central nervous system, selected topics in sensory physiology, neurological and psychiatric disorders, the autonomic nervous system, and skeletal muscle physiology.  


Pharm 3725 Pathophysiology II: The functional anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology of the digestive, endocrine, cardiovascular, respiratory, and renal systems are discussed with emphasis on the pathological and clinical features of major disease states involving these systems.


Pharm 3032 Prescription Products: The objective of this course is to provide pharmacy students with a practical understanding of the most frequently prescribed and dispensed prescription drugs.  Drugs are grouped according to major disease states commonly encountered in pharmacy practice and for each drug, students develop a working knowledge of brand and generic names, dosage forms, general pharmacology, major drug interactions, common adverse effects, and important patient information.

Research
We are interested in the antioxidant activity of natural products, including wines produced from Oklahoma grapes and medicinal plants used in Native American culture.
