       An introduction to major biological principles needed to understand the functioning of all organisms and the living
       world. Topics include biologically important molecules, cellular organization and function, energetics, basic genetics,
       gene functions, and evolution. The investigative laboratory introduces inportant techniques and methodologies used by
       modern biologists and encourages students to develop problem solving skills.

       Intended for Biology, Pre-Professional, and other science majors. Offered each fall and spring.
