New Student Orientation Overview

All incoming freshmen must attend an NSO Enrollment Session to enroll in classes. Here you can learn more about services and resources, tour the campus and your department and get your student ID card. All incoming freshmen take SWOSUConnect during their first semester. Orientation leaders and instructors will help understand the ins and outs of college. You will also have ongoing support during your first semester through SWOSUConnect.

Orientation Leaders

Orientation Leaders (OLs) are current SWOSU students that want to help you! They recently made the transition to college and understand what you’re going through. OLs are a great source of information and experience. Students can opt-in to be part of an informal Facebook group that will be a space to connect with OLs and other incoming freshmen, ask questions, and share with one another as you prepare to come to SWOSU. You’ll also be able to connect with OLs during NSO Enrollment Sessions, Camp Duke, Welcome Week activities, and in SWOSUConnect

Freshmen Families

We encourage families to attend New Student Orientation & Enrollment Sessions with their student. We have a lot of great information to share with the families of our future bulldogs. When freshmen register for their NSO Session, they can let us know if they’ll be bringing guests with them. We hope you’ll come to campus and meet us!

Welcome

Once you’re admitted, watch for correspondence from orientation@swosu.edu for more information about your next steps. We can’t wait to connect with you during your NSO Enrollment Session!
