Check Financial
Aid Award Eligibility

As you prepare to attend SWOSU, make sure to update you school information on your FAFSA. This will ensure that we receive your FAFSA application and can accurately award your aid.

FAFSA Information

Name
Southwestern Oklahoma State University

Code
003181

Now is also a great time to check out your eligibility for our Transfer Student Scholarships. Visit the Student Financial Services page and use the Transfer Scholarship Calculator.

To allow your financial aid to pay in a timely manner, make sure to UPLOAD complete official transcripts of all course work.

Connect with
Your Academic Advisor

After you received your acceptance letter, you also received an email from the SWOSU Helpdesk with your GoSWOSU Sign-On account information.

When you login to your GoSWOSU Single Sign-On, all your class registration information will be in the first tile, labeled Self-Service. To find your advisor information:

  • Open Self-Service
  • Go to Student Planning & Schedule
  • Your advisor’s name will be listed below your name and major

On the SWOSU homepage, you can use the directory (located at the top of the page or within the menu) to search for your advisor and find their email address and phone number.

If you have trouble connecting with your advisor, please reach out to the Admissions & Recruitment Office at 580.774.3782 and we can assist you.

You may notice a hold on your account when you access Self-Service. An Admissions Hold is simply a reminder that we need your final official transcripts from any institution that you are currently attending once your coursework is over and grades have been posted.

Review Your Plan of Study

Use the Undergraduate Catalog to find the Plan of Study for your major. This will be helpful as you plan classes and talk with your academic advisor.

Apply for On-Campus Housing

If you’re thinking about living on-campus, don’t forget to submit your housing application!

SWOSU is proud to offer a variety of residence halls to fit your needs. If you’d like to take a look at each hall, head over to the Residence Life page.

Or, if you’re ready to apply for housing right away, go straight to the SWOSU Housing Application.

Get More Familiar with Campus

Do you want to come get a feel for SWOSU’s campus, check out the residence halls, and meet your advisor in-person? We’d be happy to host you on campus for an individual campus tour and advisement appointment. You can fill out a Tour Request to let us know how you’d like to spend your day on campus. All of our campus visits are individualized and 100% customizable to meet your needs as a transfer student. We can’t wait to see you!

Not able to make it to campus right away? View a Campus Map to help you learn the lay of the land.

Don’t Forget the Essentials

Whether you enroll with an advisor via email or in-person, you’ll want to be sure to get your Student ID and Parking Decal before your first day of class.

Parking Decals can be obtained by going to the Campus Department of Public Safety located on the corner of State & College on the South side of Campus.

Student IDs are issued in the Student ID Office on the second floor of the Memorial Student Center located in the middle of campus near the Clock Tower.
